The farm was fortunate
enough to own the
beautiful 1994
Australian National
Champion Stallion and
1993 East Coast Champion
Stallion, Espiration
(who is feature on our
front page) for the last
three (3) years of his
life.
Espiration was one of
Australia’s most
successful show horses.
An individual from an
internationally
successful family, he
inherited the genetic
prepotency which has
characterised so many of
his forbearers.
Espiration was a
magnificent pure white
stallion standing 15’ 2”
hands. He tragically
died at 15 years of age
from Cushings Syndrome,
at the peak of his
maturity and beauty.
Espiration was the
personification of
superb type and
excellent conformation.
Within Australia, he
“did it all”.
The Show Career
As a halter horse,
Espiration was allowed
to develop naturally. He
was owner handled
throughout his junior
career and achieved some
enviable results.
Most exciting among his
early wins was the award
of Supreme Junior
Champion under Sigi
Constanti, the breeder
of El Shaklan, when she
judged in this country.
He was judged Supreme
Champion under Bob Boggs
(USA) of Midwest, as
well as Supreme Champion
under Melinda Reid (USA)
of Gleannloch Farms.
At major local “A” class
shows, such as the NSW
Division and ACT
Division Espiration
notched up further
Supremes and won the NSW
futurity, the only time
he competed. He was
Reserve Champion also at
Victoria’s largest show,
The Classic.
As a Stallion,
Espiration challenged at
the prestigious East
Coast Championships in
1993 and was awarded
Champion Stallion. In
1994 he was awarded the
supreme accolade by
being named AUSTRALIAN
NATIONAL CHAMPION
STALLION.
This win effectively
completed his career as
a halter horse; however
since then Espiration
was Champion in harness
at the National and
TWICE costume Champion
(and once Reserve) at
the East Coast
Championships, proving
his total versatility.
At Bacchante Arabians
the legacy of Espiration
lives on through one of
our principal sires the
stallion Romarno
(Espiration x Yasatis
Bint Nizr).

Romarno
Romarno’s dam, Yasatis
Bint Nizr, is a daughter
of the 1995 Australian
Champion Stallion Anaza
El Nizr (IMP). Yasatis
Bint Nizr was a
successful multi “A”
Class Champion mare when
shown.
Romarno has achieved “A”
Class Supreme Champion
and multi “A” Class
Championships at Halter.
We intend to show
Romarno under saddle
after his Halter career
is completed.
Romarno’s first foal,
the lovely Bacchante
First Romance, has been
a successful show filly
for the farm. In 2005 as
a yearling filly, she
achieved Australian
National Champion Top
Ten Yearling Filly with
a score of 25 points,
and Champion Junior
Filly at the Pan Pacific
“A” Class show under an
international judge.
In 2006 as a two year
old filly she achieved
Reserve Champion
Intermediate Filly at
the Queensland Arabian
Challenge Show. In 2007
as a three year old
filly she was shown at
the prestigious East
Coast Championship.
Bacchante First Romance
was awarded Champion
East Coast 2 & 3 year
old Filly under the
international judge
Lenita Peroy of Brazil
Bacchante First Romance

The S. K. Shakla Khan
(Imp USA) Influence
We have utilised the
bloodlines of the twice
Reserve Australian
National Champion
Stallion S. K. Shakla
Khan (Imp) through his
son Espakhan out of 1995
Australian National
Champion Filly Hazeldean
Esperanza. Espakhan was
purchased as a breeding
stallion by the farm
after winning Champion
Colt at the 1998
Queensland Arabian
Challenge Show. Our
lovely Espakhan
daughter, Bacchante
Evangeline, achieved
Champion Junior Filly at
the 2006 Queensland
Arabian Challenge Show.

In his new home in
Victoria, Bacchante
Evangeline’s full
brother Bacchante Shere
Khan was shown at 3
prestigious shows in
Victoria in 2006 and won
his class at every show
